12 Chapter Overview 14 January 2010 North Star Chapter 12 Why sign in? For the past several years we have had the chapter incentive program to encourage attendance at our meetings. For 2010, two $25 gift certificates for any Restaurant will be awarded to every member attending six or more regular meetings or who brings one new member into the chapter. (Note – You must be a member in good standing for the entire year to qualify) For guests or members attending for the first time, this also insures your notification by email of all subsequent events. Attendance BE SURE AND SIGN THE ATTENDANCE LIST! PLEASE WRITE SO WE CAN READ IT!!

14 Chapter Overview 14 January 2010 North Star Chapter David D. Walden, CSEP, is co-owner and principal consultant for Sysnovation, LLC, a company he formed in 2006 focused on Systems Engineering consulting and education that is based out of Shakopee, Minnesota, USA. At Sysnovation, Dave has assisted numerous clients in SE consulting and training/course development. He has served as an independent reviewer, major review (e.g., PDR, CDR) coordinator, SE Subject Matter Expert (SME), and process consultant. He has created and taught numerous SE courses and tutorials, including a distance learning on-line variant of an SE Principles course. Previously, Dave was with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems for 13 years and worked at McDonnell Aircraft Company for 10 years. Dave is currently the Program Manger of the INCOSE Certification Program and also serves as the INCOSE liaison to ISO/IEC JTC1/SC7 Working Groups 10, 20, and 22. He has an M.S. in Management of Technology (MOT) from the University of Minnesota, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Valparaiso University in Indiana.
