3 LITERACY & MATHS HANDED OUT EVERY FRIDAY AND DUE BACK THE FOLLOWING WEDNESDAY LITERACY: GRAMMAR / VOCABULARY /WRITING WILL ALWAYS RELATE TO SKILLS AND TOPICS BEING STUDIED WITHIN THE CLASSROOM MATHS: TIMES TABLES REINFORCING CLASSROOM LEARNING TESTING APPLICATION OF SKILLS EACH PIECE OF HOMEWORK SHOULD TAKE 20-30 MINUTES Back

4 THE BIG TALK EVERY THURSDAY THE WHOLE SCHOOL TAKES PART IN THE BIG WRITE THIS IS TO HELP RAISE ATTAINMENT LEVEL IN SPEAKING, LISTENING AND WRITING. THE BIG TALK IS PREPARATION FOR THE BIG WRITE IF A CHILD CAN’T SAY IT A CHILD CAN’T WRITE IT. A FUN WRITING SESSION THAT PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR CHILDREN TO: EXPERIMENT WRITING DIFFERENT GENRES HAVE THE TIME AND THE FREEDOM TO WRITE IMPROVE CREATIVITY AND IMAGINATION DEVELOP AND EXPERIMENT USING NEW VOCABULARY AND PHRASES IMPROVE GRAMMAR SKILLS Back Sithee!
