Mrs. Anady’s 4th Grade Class!
Welcome to Mrs. Anady’s 4th Grade Class!
2
Meet the Teacher I am Mrs. Anady and I have been teaching for 10 years and 4 years at SJVA. I am married and have 4 children who attend SJVA. I enjoy traveling, trying different ethnic foods, camping, cooking, exercising and being with my church family. I love teaching! It is awesome to be in a profession that brings so much joy!
3
What should you know about SJVA?
SJVA is an inquiry based charter school. What does that mean to you? Your child will be asked to complete several inquiry based projects this year. Also, many of our classroom tasks will have a focus on inquiry and research. Our school requires parent involvement… Yet we understand that parents are busy, and there are several options for ways you can meet this requirement. Some examples include: Take home projects such as cutting our classroom materials, participating in school events like field trips, help in the classroom, etc.
4
My Goals To give your child the academic and social skills he/she needs to progress to 5th grade. To provide a supportive and fun classroom environment. Help students to be self sufficient active participants and take ownership in his/her own education.

Volunteering At School Remember… Reading buddy Copy prep Small groups
Parents must be fingerprinted and TB tested in order to volunteer in the class and on field trips. If you can’t volunteer, I may have at-home projects that you may help with. At School Remember… Reading buddy Copy prep Small groups Classroom parties Field Trips PTSA always needs volunteers too!

How can parents help? Please help your child with their homework! I am trying to send quality work over quantity. Less is more because I know many families are busy with afterschool activities which are important! Help by checking your child’s planner, Engrade, and Class Dojo. You can help keep them accountable in all of these areas.
