2 Peter 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

What Manner of Person Ought Ye to Be 2Pe 3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

What Manner of Person Ought Ye to Be

1. Faith. 2. Virtue [fortitude]. 3. Knowledge. 4. Temperance [self-control]. 5. Patience. 6. Godliness. 7. Brotherly kindness. 8. Charity [love].

What Manner of Person Ought Ye to Be – FAITH Rom 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

What Manner of Person Ought Ye to Be - FAITH Those who see God’s hand in everything- Always leave everything in His hands. True Faith sees the invisible– believes the incredible and receives the impossible When fear knocks on the door, send faith to answer it and you will find that there is no one there.

What Manner of Person Ought Ye to Be - VIRTUE Psa 15:2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. Psa 15:3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour. Psa 15:4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not. Psa 15:5 He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

What Manner of Person Ought Ye to Be - VIRTUE If anyone speaks evil of you, you life should be such that no one would believe them. If you are not as close to God as you were, you need not wonder who moved.

Psa 15:1 A Psalm of David. LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

What Manner of Person Ought Ye to Be- KNOWLEDGE 2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Php 3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

What Manner of Person Ought Ye to Be- KNOWLEDGE Knowledge is proud that it knows so much… Wisdom is humble because it has so much to know. Knowledge received, into a good and honest heart, will bring forth an acceptable fruitage of character termed Temperance or Self-Control.

What Manner of Person Ought Ye to Be – TEMPERANCE or SELF CONTROL Php 4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

What Manner of Person Ought Ye to Be – TEMPERANCE or SELF CONTROL If you want your neighbor to know what Christ will do for him… let him see what Christ has done for you. If your absence doesn’t make any difference – your presence won’t either.

What Manner of Person Ought Ye to Be - PATIENCE 2Ti 2:3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. Luk 21:19 In your patience possess ye your souls. Jas 1:3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. Heb 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

What Manner of Person Ought Ye to Be - PATIENCE Trying times are the times to keep trying The quitter never wins and the winner never quits God will either lighten your load or strengthen your back.

What Manner of Person Ought Ye to Be - GODLINESS Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: 2Th 2:15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

What Manner of Person Ought Ye to Be - GODLINESS The Christian’s highest place is lying low at the feet of Jesus

What Manner of Person Ought Ye to Be - BROTHERLY KINDNESS 1Jn 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. 1Jn 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 1Jn 3:17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

What Manner of Person Ought Ye to Be - BROTHERLY KINDNESS Our Lord cares not so much for our works, as for the love in which they are done. Love never asks “how much must I do?” but how much CAN I DO?”

What Manner of Person Ought Ye to Be - CHARITY Joh 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Joh 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

What Manner of Person Ought Ye to Be - CHARITY The time to really love others is when they least deserve it. Service is Love, that we shall, given time, grow to resemble.

What Manner of Person Ought Ye to Be Be Diligent- Constant vigilence Our conduct under the direction of a pure heart R5747 Keeping guard with an inspection of every motive of life R4345 Rooting out the weeds of earthly desires and attractions R2479

Eph 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

What Manner of Person Ought Ye to Be How much is a year worth? How much is a month worth? How much is a week worth? How much is an hour worth? How much is a minute worth? How much is a second worth? How much is 1/100 of a second worth? Don’t just miss the gold medal. Redeem the time. Walk Circumspectly

GOD formed us---- Sin deformed us--And Only GOD thru Jesus can Transform us… THE FATHER’S LOVE FOR HIS SONS TRANSCENDS OUR ABILITY TO COMPREHEND IT… ABBA FATHER!

What Manner of Person Ought Ye to Be 1. Faith. 2. Virtue [fortitude]. 3. Knowledge. 4. Temperance [self-control]. 5. Patience. 6. Godliness. 7. Brotherly kindness. 8. Charity [love].
