Recently, CTV news ran a story about our very own, Brenden Parker. Brendan, tired of Translink busses failing to pick him up at our local bus stop, decided to take matters in to his own hands and get the message out that people with disabilities deserve respect and the same level of service that other people get.
13
He could have easily made this issue just about him, and how he was late for his work experience, but he chose instead to try to make sure this wasn’t going to happen to other people with disabilities Way to go Brendan! CHS is proud of you To watch Brendan’s story, search CTV News Brendan Parker (film someone actually doing the search) http://bc.ctvnews.ca/teen-says-translink-buses- discriminate-against-wheelchair-1.987976 http://bc.ctvnews.ca/teen-says-translink-buses- discriminate-against-wheelchair-1.987976
