Subscriber/Follower –Unregistered user + receive any notifications you send them Contributor –Subscriber + create draft posts, but can’t publish Author –Contributor + publish or delete their own posts only Editor –Author + create, edit, delete anyone’s posts or pages –Can’t adjust site settings or manage users Administrators –All-powerful, omnipotent, sovereign, etc., etc., etc. Super administrator (WordPress Multi-Site only) –Manage multiple WordPress sites in a network –Appoint administrators for each site

Multi-user sites Completely private site –Site requires user account even to view anything Password-protected pages –Individual pages can be given passwords –Many plugins let you restrict certain pages to various user categories WordPress Multi-Site –Create multiple WordPress sub-sites where each administrator has as much or as little control as you choose to give them –Maximum flexibility for a multi-user site
