What is a job interview? A job interview is a personal conference that allows the employer to assess the job applicant and the applicant to assess the prospective employer.

Employers use interviews for some of the following reasons: Allows the determination of particular qualifications or traits.. Allows the opportunity to verbally explain the job and its duties.

Employers use interviews for some of the following reasons: Enables employers to make a judgment on the candidates’ verbal communication skills.
