Mozilla Our mission is to promote openness, innovation & opportunity on the Web. At Mozilla, we’re a global community of technologists, thinkers and builders working together to keep the Internet alive and accessible, so people worldwide can be informed contributors and creators of the Web. We believe this act of human collaboration across an open platform is essential to individual growth and our collective future.

Mozilla FireFox Mozilla is a global community of volunteers and like- minded people who works towards the goal of shaping the better web The Mozilla project is a global community of people who believe that openness, innovation, and opportunity are key to the continued health of the Internet. We have worked together since 1998 to ensure that the Internet is developed in a way that benefits everyone. We are best known for creating the Mozilla Firefox web browser. The Mozilla project uses a community-based approach to create world-class open source software

Principles The Internet is an integral part of modern life—a key component in education, communication, collaboration, business, entertainment and society as a whole. The Internet is a global public resource that must remain open and accessible. The Internet must enrich the lives of individual human beings. Individuals’ security and privacy on the Internet are fundamental and must not be treated as optional. Individuals must have the ability to shape the Internet and their own experiences on the Internet.
6
Principles Free and open source software promotes the development of the Internet as a public resource. Transparent community-based processes promote participation, accountability and trust. Commercial involvement in the development of the Internet brings many benefits; a balance between commercial profit and public benefit is critical. Magnifying the public benefit aspects of the Internet is an important goal, worthy of time, attention and commitment.
7
Highlights Of Mozilla The Mozilla Project launched at Netscape on March 31, 1998, to offer choice to users and drive innovation on the Web. Proudly non-profit, Mozilla makes products like Firefox with a mission to keep the power of the Web in the hands of users everywhere. More than 10,000 contributors expressed their support for our mission by paying for a full-page ad in The New York Times on the day Firefox 1.0 launched in 2004.
8
Highlights Of Mozilla Today Mozilla has contributors on every continent, including Antarctica (where Firefox is used by 80% of people). Mozilla is leading the way in online privacy with browser innovations like Do Not Track and Lightbeam that give users greater control of their personal data. Our global community has helped translate Firefox into over 70 languages, making the browser available to more than 90% of the world's population.

What is FSA? FSAs are individuals who are passionate about Mozilla and raise awareness about the many benefits of Firefox and other Mozilla products-especially Firefox OS! Creative and resourceful, Student Ambassadors lead campaigns and projects at their colleges and in their communities to encourage others to contribute to Mozilla (and utilize our products). Together, Firefox Student Ambassadors play a large role in helping to improve the global experience of people on the Web. As part of the overall Mozilla Reps program (ReMo), Student Ambassadors are given the opportunity to learn new skills, earn recognition, and advance their leadership in the Mozilla community.
