4 Why Survey Volunteers? Benefits of volunteering: Can promote a sense of ones ability to complete tasks and reach goals (self-efficacy) Can foster a stronger sense of being connected to others (social ties). Demonstrate results for Senior Corps program Provide stronger evidence through use of comparison group design FGP and SCP Volunteer Survey4

5 Overview: How Grantees will Contribute FGP and SCP grantees are required to conduct the survey. FGP and SCP volunteers are being asked to complete the survey, but their participation is voluntary.
