3. A group of pugs are called a grumble. This is different from other dogs because a group of French Bulldogs are called Boral and a group of Yorkshire Terriers are called Yolks. Also a group up to 8 Jack Russell dogs are called rustlers. Fact 1

4. Pugs live on average 12 to 15 years but they’ve been known to live well beyond their average life span with proper care. This is different from Golden Retrievers because they live for 20 years and maybe a bit longer. Also German Shepherds live for 14 years. Fact 2

5. Pugs are originated from china and were brought to Europe in the 16th century. They are thought to have contributed to the breeding of King Charles Spaniel, the Pekingese and English bulldog. Although China is their original birth place you can now get them in all sorts of countries. Fact 3

6. Pugs are prone to catching colds due to their short noses. Due to their short legs and trouble with breathing, pugs are not usually good swimmers. This is different from other dogs like a Basset Hound that have droopy skin which may interfere with their vision. Fact 4

7. Pugs range from 13 to 20lbs and are prone to obesity. Although other dogs like Chow-chow dogs are 1ft and 5 inches. And they weigh up to 40/ 70 pounds. Also other dogs like Dalmatians are 1ft and 7 inches and weigh 48/55 pounds. Fact 5

8. Pugs come in four colours: apricot, fawn, black and more uncommonly, silver. This is different from other dogs like Labrador because they don’t come in as many colours like pugs they only come in brown, black, and golden. Whereas Poodles come in White, brown and black. Fact 6
