6 A few notes… No campaigning If you accept a nomination to run, please plan on attending the following: –GBA Transition, Friday April 2 nd 9:30 AM – 1 PM: All GBA 1 – 2 PM: President & CFO 2 – 3 PM: President & EVP –GBA End-of-Semester Dinner, Sunday, April 11 th (Time & Location TBD) –Club Kickoff, Friday April 16 th 12 – 5 PM Note: Those with MP presentations during this time will be expected to attend as much of the Kickoff meeting as possible

8 President: Jeff Davis The President of the Graduate Business Association is the student face of the school the public as well as the primary champion of the student body with the Program Office and the Dean's Office. The President is also responsible for the general administration and planning of Graduate Business Association Executive Council. Accordingly, the President is responsible for the following activities and more: strategic plans, weekly meetings, coordinating and communicating with the Program Office and the Dean's Office, speaking at townhall and other events, driving hallmark Goizueta Events, budgeting, and acting as the face of the Goizueta Student Body.

9 EVP: Liz Stanton Along with the President, bring the Student Voice to the Programs Office Play a primary role in GBA led projects – follow up, help execute Plan and lead monthly Club Leadership Meeting Play a large part in One year, 1st year,and 2nd year orientation/lead week Manage the Election Process for One Years and 1st years –One Year VPs and Leadership Council –Section Reps –GBA Appointed Positions Process –Leadership March Lead Special Projects –Leadership March –Manage Leadership Spreadsheet and historical records (constitution, chartering process) –Opt-out list for The Balance Sheet –Encourage and facilitate club and Goizueta program integration –Coordinate Master Calendar updates

10 CFO: Reed Moore The Chief Financial Officer has the sole power to accept and disperse funds, as directed by the Executive Council. The Chief Financial Officer is also responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing expenses in a timely manner and reporting the financial status of the GBA at all GBA meetings. Additionally, the Chief Financial Officer serves as the representative of the Graduate Business School on the university-wide Budget Committee. Other Info: Typical activities include: work with club presidents to establish budgets, track & manage budget throughout the year, process reimbursements for club activities, work with clubs to plan and fund major events, attend bi-weekly budget committee meetings

11 VP Academic Affairs: Kyle Ankrom The Vice President of Academic Affairs shall represent the interests of the student body regarding issues related to the academic environment and execution of the Goizueta curriculum: –Serve as the liaison between current students, faculty, and the administration, in order to address significant issues related to the academics at Goizueta. –Work with the Program Office to collect course surveys and make information available to students through the Course Candor conferences. –Work with the Vice President of Career Management to facilitate workshop creation between the clubs and CMC for career related training not covered in classes. –Director of Case Competitions where focus is the Goizueta core values of integrity, accountability, team, and rigor by advising students participating in non-school sponsored competitions and aiding the Program Office with sponsored competitions.

12 VP Alumni Relations: Jean Downing Represents the interests of the current students (future alumni) of Goizueta Works in coordination with the following groups to facilitate relationships between current MBA students and alumni –Office of Alumni Relations –Development Office –Career Management Center –Program Office –Club Leadership –Goizueta Alumni Association Board Chairs the Class Gift Campaign Chairs Class Five-Year Reunion Activities Plans “Welcome to Being an Alumni” event Promotes Alumni participation in various events organized by current students

13 VP Career Management: Arun Mulchandani Responsible for maximizing overall insertion of Goizueta students into desirable positions by: –Improving GBS’s relationship with employer community –Working with the CMC to ensure GBS students have acquired the skills necessary to obtain employment (through the PCC program and other initiatives as the CMC sees fit) –Improving the relationship between the students and the CMC –Working with the Program office to ensure all parties are up to date on career initiatives –Improving the performance and efficacy of Career Clubs (through initiatives similar to Best Practice Competitions) –Tracking and optimizing student confidence about career placement (through initiatives similar to Career Confidence Survey and CMC Student Advisory Committee) –Working with VP of Finance to see that funding for Career Clubs is rational, adequate, and equitable

14 VP Community Outreach: Julia Andrle Facilitate, promote, and champion servant leadership and community service initiatives that engage the Goizueta Graduate Business School with external community partners Serve as a liaison between Goizueta Business School’s service- related clubs and the GBA to ensure that the community outreach goals of Goizueta are carried out Assist social enterprise and service-related clubs in their efforts to plan and implement service initiatives Appoint representative to serve on the Global Health Institute Student Advisory Committee Serve as a liaison to Emory University’s Office of Community Partnerships Communicate service opportunities to the Goizueta community Champion/fundraise/implement an annual GBS Habitat build Lead GBS-wide fundraising efforts for natural disasters/wars/etc. (e.g., 9/11, New Orleans, Haiti)

15 VP Marketing Communications: Ceili Cascarano Drive GBA communications internally and externally –Bi-monthly newsletter, –Message board –GBA meeting minutes –Calendar –SharePoint site –Monitor GBS blog Track opinion about communication and communication methodologies (technologies) Help coordinate communications from Program Office as necessary Establish relationship and be the lead contact with the school’s marketing communications team Maintain historical records (major decisions, SPF files, contacts, binders) Assist President with communication with both classes Assist EVP with Leadership March campaign Play a large part in 1st year,and 2nd year orientation/lead week

16 VP Multicultural Affairs: Ying Huang Promote multiple cultures in Goizueta –Take the initiative to introduce different cultures via innovative ways (Kegs, Emails, Contests, extracurricular activities such as international dinners, movies, etc ), e.g, different holidays, traditions, entertainment, political views, business etiquette, etc. Represent Voice of International Students –Stand for International students’ perspectives in weekly GBA meetings –Communicate with students and first year international representative periodically to collect related latest information/issues, and present in GBA Coordinate Multi-Cultural Clubs events –Examples: Black MBA DLC, IBA International Potluck, etc. Assistant for Diversity and Community Office –Weekly meeting with Alicia Sierra, Director of Diversity Office –Represent students’ perspective, give Alicia advice, Secretarial tasks, etc –Meet with Harriet Ruskin, Director of International MBA Program

17 VP Student Activities: Kristi Ludwig The Vice President of Student Activities is responsible for overseeing and facilitating all student activities for the Full-Time MBA Program. This position is all about fostering a sense of community at Goizueta while introducing fellow students to other Graduate programs and Atlanta. Social activities include, but are not limited to, seasonal functions, faculty/student mixers, cultural events, intramural sports. The VP of Student Activities doesn’t work alone. Student Activities Board is comprised of: two Student Activities Directors (appointed), the One Year Social Rep (elected), and three First Year Members (selected). The most important task is to set, maintain, and convey the Activities calendar each semester.

18 VP University Relations: Parul Lahoti Serve as GBA VP of University Relations, which is derived from the following sub-roles: –Business School Rep for Grad Senate –Business School Rep (1 of 3 Reps) for Student Government Association –Business School Rep for University Senate Reporting to GBA and GBS about University events and initiatives Attending weekly and monthly meetings for various organizations (voting positions) Facilitate integration with other organizations and schools outside of GBS
