2 Mt. Healthy Jr/Sr High School Student Dress Code
PRIDE School Year

3 Pants/capris black, navy, or khaki traditional or classic fit pants (pleated or flat front). All bottoms must be worn securely at the natural waist. No cargo pants or shorts.

4 Shorts black, navy, or khaki traditional or classic fit shorts (pleated or flat front), worn securely at the natural waist. Shorts should be equal or longer than the finger tips when students stand with arms at their side.

5 Skirts or skorts khaki material classic or traditional fit in black, navy, or khaki. Skirts and skorts should be equal or longer than the finger tips when students stand with arms at their side.

6 Leggings solid red, black, or white (must be worn under proper bottoms) No Leggings, Tights, or Yoga Pants can be worn as acceptable school bottoms.

7 Shirts solid red, black, or white 2-3 polo button shirts, crewnecks, or turtlenecks. Shirts should be long enough to reach one’s waist and either have a Mt. Healthy Logo or another logo no larger than the size of one’s fist.

8 Undershirts undershirts of any solid color may be worn underneath the polo shirt. Long sleeve under shirts must be solid red, black, or white.

9 Spirit wear shirts students may wear any Mt. Healthy spirit wear t-shirt, jacket, crewneck sweatshirt or hooded sweatshirt (hoods may not be worn during the school day)

10 Sweaters solid white, black, or red sweaters (cardigan, crewneck, or hooded) (hoods may not be worn during the school day)

11 Shoes must be closed in toe and heel, flat shoes with a hard sole (no house shoes or flip flops)

12 Purses purses that are smaller than an 8 ½ x 11 piece of paper

13 Jewelry jewelry that doesn’t include obscene, violent, gang, tobacco, drug/alcohol related – writing or characteristics

16 Electronic Device Policy
- Use of any electronic devices such as music players, gaming devices and cellular phones is prohibited during school hours. If a student is seen using electronic devices during school they will be asked to put them away, if the student does not comply they will be written up for insubordination.

17 Electronic Device Policy
- Electronic signaling devices (i.e. cell phones, iPads, iPods, etc.) may be used before & after school ONLY. - The use of electronic devices (i.e. iPods, portable video games, ear buds, etc.) MAY be allowed during school hours if a teacher and/or administrator has allowed it for academic purposes.

18 Use at your own risk - Mt. Healthy City Schools does not assume liability if such devices are damaged, lost, or stolen. We WILL NOT be conducting any whole room searches for missing devices This includes both staff and student devices Individual searches MAY be conducted if there is credible information concerning the location of the device Everyone is to be responsible for keeping their own devices SECURE AT ALL TIMES

19 Confiscation Policy - Devices used by students to video, photograph, or text message unlawful activities may be confiscated and searched by school personnel. - Staff members have been instructed not to confiscate devices unless directed to do so by an administrator for good reason.

20 Parent Contact Policy - Parents, we know how much easier it is to contact your student directly using their phone. Please do not do this. If you need to speak to your student, we need you to contact the office and we will make arrangements for you to speak to them. - Contact from a parent is not an excuse to use a phone. If you choose to contact your student during the school day, you are putting them at risk for facing consequences

21 Electronic Device Policy
The visible or audible use of personal communication devices, including but not limited to cell phones, tablets, phones, mp3 players, messaging devices, and walkie-talkies are not allowed during the school day. Offense Consequence 1st offense & 2nd offense Teacher Warning (Put it away) 3rd offense Write the student up for insubordination If you do not put your phone away you will be written up for insubordination

27 ProgressBook ProgressBook is an online management system for parents and students.  Parents can view student averages, assignment details, homework participation, teacher messages, and attendance.  ProgressBook allows easy access to contact information, allowing parents and teachers to readily communicate.  This system provides parents with 24/7 access to classroom information and student reports.

28 ProgressBook If you already have a ProgressBook log in from last year, it will be the same log in this year. If you need to obtain a parent log in: Jr High- See Ms. Herlinger in the Jr High Office High School- Media Center on the 2nd Floor

29 Scheduling Conflicts/ Concerns
If you have an issue with your schedule… JH ~ report to the Jr. High Student Office to see Ms. Robinson (JH counselor) HS ~ report to the Guidance Department to see a HS counselor

30 South Elementary During dismissal, Jr./Sr. High students should pick up South students: at the gate on Werner Ave., at the bottom of the driveway on Adams Rd., and the driveway at our Hill exit.
