3 Assumptions: You chose the bicycle business because you want something in addition to profit. For great companies* (big and small) profitability is not the end goal, but IS an essential result for achieving the kind of business you want. You have chosen to attend this workshop because you care about what kind of bike shop(s) you have.

5 Core Values Principles that are held inviolate: What we stand for; the principles on which we will operate A system of guiding principles and tenets; a philosophy of business and life. An extension of the personal core values and beliefs of the leader(s) of the organization: must, then, be authentic! Vision Vision = Purpose + Core Values + Mission

7 Personal Core Values 1. Complete the worksheet sections A-D 2. In groups of three, share your personal core values, and what you mean by each. 3. Describe a “defining situation” around one of those core values, and share one or two of your daily actions that support that core value. 4. Identify a few key actions or decisions you make in daily life as a result of your values. Why is it important to go through this exercise?

Striving to Be Better Our culture revolves around continuous learning as both a value and a strategy. We set high standards for ourselves, we celebrate our success and then we set the bar higher.
