5. 5 PERSON VS PRESENCE THE SPIRIT IS A PERSON AS SEEN BY HIS: OWN WILL “But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills” (1 COR. 12:11) GRIEVING “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption” (EPH. 4:30)

6. 6 PERSON VS PRESENCE THE SPIRIT IS A PERSON AS SEEN BY HIS: ABILITY TO HEAR, SPEAK, GUIDE “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come” (JN. 16:13) ABILITY TO TESTIFY “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me” (JN. 15:26)

8. 8 PERSON SPIRIT AS A PERSON PERSON NECESSITATES LOCALITY –HEAVEN LOCALITY NECESSITATES SEPARATION/DISTINCTION DISTINCT FROM FATHER, SON, CREATION

9. 9 PRESENT BUT SEPARATE JESUS IS IN THE MIDST OF WHERE TWO OR THREE GATHER TOGETHER IN HIS NAME (Mat. 18:20) YET HIS PERSON REMAINS IN HEAVEN (Heb. 8:1) HIS PERSON WILL RETURN ONCE MORE “So Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation” (Heb. 9:28; cf. 1 Cor. 11:26)

SATAN’S INDWELLING? “But Peter said, ‘Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself?’” (ACTS 5:3) “A man’s heart or mind is full of a thing when he is intent on it…” (Albert Barnes) IF THE HOLY SPIRIT DIRECTLY AND LITERALLY ENTERS MAN, THEN WHY NOT SATAN’S PERSON TOO?

14. 14 LITERAL INDWELLING? SATAN’S INDWELLING? “I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells” (REV. 2:13) DID PERGAMOS HAVE A LITERAL PHYSICAL THRONE FOR SATAN? OR WAS IT A PLACE THAT WAS SO FILLED AND INFLUENCED WITH EVIL THAT IT WAS SAID TO BE SATAN’S THRONE? A SPIRITUAL BEING ON A PHYSICAL THRONE?

15. 15 ROMANS 7:17-20 – INDWELLING OF SIN 17 But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. 19 For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. 20 Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me.
