1 4oD homepage takeover guidelines

2 Terminology PAGESKIN An ad which wraps around the Channel4 content and remains visible for the entire page duration. This is comparable to traditional home page take- overs.. From the PAGESKIN users then have the following two choices TRADITIONAL CLICK TO SITE When the PAGESKIN product is clicked the user is taken away from their current page to the advertiser’s website in a new window. No return method is provided. This ad solution requires no additional expandable builds. EXPANDABLE MICRO-SITE When an PAGESKIN product is clicked a modal window is opened over the user’s current page. This will display a bespoke flash micro site constructed from supplied assets. The contents of this micro site will vary dependant on the campaign. It can contain anything flash can regularly handle including the dynamic loading of external assets, with only slight restrictions and within our provided framework. This option requires a full flash build.

3 Background PAGESKIN The background PAGESKIN, as shown in red on the mock up to the side, this should be clearly labeled as an advertisement or carry the advertisers logo to differentiate it from the 4 brand The advertiser also has use of the leader and mpu highlighted in blue although this is separate to the Pageskin and will need to be supplied to C4 Advertisers will have no control of the content in the area in grey When the user clicks on the red area they can either click through to the advertiser site directly (TRADITIONAL CLICK TO SITE) or a EXPANDABLE MICRO-SITE will open

4 Internal Content –1000px X n Header & Footer Height – 90px each Side Frames – 130 px width Safe margin additional space is revealed on smaller websites (can contain non critical design elements) Side Areas can be constructed as floating movie clips, these can then scroll down the sides to remain in the users eye line. Each frame (left side frame, right side frame, Header and Footer) should be built as different MovieClips inside an unique FLA file

5 EXPANDABLE MICRO-SITE If the advertiser chooses the expandable micro-site option, when clicked on the content and PAGESKIN will be covered by a black tint block out (75% black). The expandable micro-site size is 980 and 800 pixels. Aspect ratio of 16x9 which is perfect for playing video. It will also sit above the fold and centred on the page. The expandable micro-site must have a close button that is clear to all users. By clicking on the close button the expandable micro-site will close immediately directing users back to the 4oD homepage. All creative is subject to Channel 4 approval

6 Creative assets Please provide as many of the creative assets listed below as possible/applicable: Corporate & or advert specific fonts and provided, ISM can provide written guarantees that the fonts will not be used in any other project (excluding public domain fonts). Vector or High resolution company/brand logos (.ai,.eps,.png, jpeg, svg) Any high resolution press shots or assets to using in the current advertising campaign. Layered PSD or Illustrator files Any flash assets which are currently being utilised on the Advertisers website/micro-site that could be integrated into an InSkin product or InSkin expandable micro-site. Please provide source FLA’s Video files (avi, mpg, flv, f4v, mov). Please note, avi/mpg/mov files will be converted into flash. Tag lines or specific copy for the advert. Any legal copy that needs to be incorporated. Tracking requirements Please do not send Standalone.SWF files, these cant be edited or used as asset files PDFs should only be last resort Assets are required in order to build the campaign creative. ISM understands that in some cases advertisers will not have a complete set of assets. In this scenario the ISM Design team may be required to produce concepts from scratch which will incur additional lead time and should be planned for accordingly
