2
They grow and die. They produce young. Germinate means to start grow.
3
Nutrients include food, air, water and vitamins and minerals. A fruit is what a flower becomes after it is pollinated. Vegetables are other plants parts. Carrots are roots.
4
Leaves capture the sunlight to make food. Stems support the plant. They act like the plant’s plumbing system.
5
Flowers are the reproductive part of most plants. They contain pollen and tiny eggs. Roots act like straws absorbing water and minerals from the soil.
6
Pollination is very important. It leads to the creation of new seeds that grow into new plants. Plants make food, plants make oxygen, plants provide habitats for animals.
7
Animals dispersed seeds in several ways. First, some plants, have barbs or other structures that get tangled in animal fur or feathers, and are then carried to new sites.
