The act is outdated (written in 1961): It is not designed to address the challenges of the 21 st century, especially related to housing, slums, tenure security, and urbanization. We want adequate shelter to be recognized as a priority within US foreign Does not support funding for houses oversees Habitat believes adequate housing is foundational to poverty reduction and is committed to positively impacting the lives of the 1.6 billion people in need of adequate housing Habitat for Humanity builds in over 80 countries around the world Ask: To support Habitat for Humanity’s efforts in providing homes for families internationally by revising the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 Representatives contact Michael Harold in Rep.
