6. Italian Culture and Language Fellowships In the Spring of 2004, John Ceschini, principal of Kensington Parkwood was awarded one of six fellowships and traveled to Milan & Naples, Italy

7. During this life changing experience, connections were made with two schools in Italy Collegio San Carlo, Milan, Italy Scuola Media, Castellamare Di Stabia Collegio San Carlo, Milan, Italy Scuola Media, Castellamare Di Stabia

8. A partnership between the schools was formed with teacher exchanges each year

17. During the 2006 Summer, an additional staff member was awarded an Italian Culture & Language Fellowship This fellowship focused on cultural and life of Rome & Turin

18. Back at KP, the new school year brought an expanded Italian Language Model 3 rd graders began working one day per week with an Italian language teacher integrating Social Studies

19. 4 th graders built upon their understanding from the past year by integrating the study of fables through both Italian and English

20. Before school classes in Italian are being offered to both students and adults.
