Using the WAMS Pre-Populated Student List to Import Students Into GOLD™ To simplify the import process for DACs, we have created a download that pulls pre-formatted files in the GOLD™ student records import template. To access this list, go to EDS > WAMS > WaKIDS, and select WaKIDS DownloadEDS The file includes all students from SSID issuance when: o School and grade were provided o Students' grades are 'KG‘ o SSID was issued after 5/1/15 You will need to modify the file as necessary (add classID; remove unnecessary records), and save in.csv format for upload to GOLD™ 15 http://www.k12.wa.us/WaKIDS/default.aspx

District CEDARS Administrators and SSID Issuance Students must have State Student Identifiers (SSIDs) to be entered into GOLD™ by Teaching Strategies® o Generally the creation of SSIDs occurs through a CEDARS submission. Since districts don’t usually send CEDARS submissions early in the school year, school districts may use the CEDARS SSID Issuance processes instead. We communicated 8/24 with District CEDARS Administrators through the SIMON distribution list to alert them that they must obtain SSIDs by using SSID Issuance as soon as possible but before 9/15. o Records sent through issuance must include the grade and school or they will not flow into the WAMS application that DACs will use to retrieve pre-populated student templates. 16 http://www.k12.wa.us/WaKIDS/default.aspx
