Effective Leadership Requires Making Wise Decisions “I have set before you life and death, blessing and the curse. Therefore, choose life in order that you may live.” (Deuteronomy 30:19)

3 Conclusions about Our Choices
Leaders bring PEOPLE to a point of decision. In some areas, we have no CHOICE. In some areas, we do have a CHOICE. We are RESPONSIBLE to make right choices.

CONTEMPLATION (James 1:2-4) SUPPLICATION (James 1:5) ANTICIPATION (James 1:6-8)

11 Decision Making in the Gray Areas
1. Prioritize God’s People 2. Pursue God’s Glory 3. Perceive God’s Purpose

12 Principles on Decision Making
Choice, not chance, determines my DESTINY. To choose not to decide is to choose to let SOMEONE ELSE control my life. 3. To choose to decide is to take RESPONSIBILITY. 4. Indecision is the mark of a FEARFUL mind.

13 Principles in Decision Making
Decisiveness is the mark of a LEADER. Followers can live without certainty, but they cannot live without CLARITY. The leader who INSISTS on perfect knowledge before he decides, never decides.

14 Principles in Decision Making
Decisions RELEASE energy, insight, commitment and support. The larger the group of followers, the greater the PRESSURE to conform. Great people are ordinary people who make extraordinary DECISIONS.

15 Principles in Decision Making
Decisions should be made at the LOWEST level possible in an organization. Success is not for the chosen few, but for the few who CHOOSE.
