Your Kingdom Come – The Lord’s Prayer part 5

Making it real Forgive us our sins as we have forgiven those who sin against us And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven (left, remitted, and let go of the debts, and have given up resentment against) our debtors. Amplified Bible Amplified Bible

Forgive us our Sins 2 Corinthians 4:4 (NIV) The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

With whom do we come into agreement? Jesus  Truth  Freedom  Hope  LIFE Satan  Lies and Deception  Prison  Guilt / Condemnation  DEATH

Jesus became sin for us 2 Corinthians 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

He became sin for us “Christ redeemed us from that self-defeating, cursed life by absorbing it completely into himself. Do you remember the Scripture that says, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”? That is what happened when Jesus was nailed to the cross: He became a curse, and at the same time dissolved the curse. And now, because of that, the air is cleared and we can see that Abraham’s blessing is present and available for non-Jews, too. We are all able to receive God’s life, his Spirit, in and with us by believing—just the way Abraham received it.” Galatians 3:13 Galatians 3:13

The Cross (Bob Gordon) “Jesus was born of the Spirit and lived in the power of the Spirit. But it was unlike our humanity in that it was governed by the Spirit of God and never knew the reality of sin until the end. This is where we see the immensity of His offering on the cross. At this point, He did something which He had never experienced before; He opened Himself to the reality and effects of sin within His own body. Not His sin, but the sins of all other men, and into Himself He gathered all its awful effects and judgment.”

Jesus  HE IS OUR SACRIFICE  WE ARE FORGIVEN  WE NEED TO RECEIVE HIS FORGIVENESS  FORGIVE US OUR SINS LORD

As we forgive those who sin against us  Jesus was free to forgive  He forgave his persecutors  How free are we?  What is our unforgiveness rooted in?  The law of the Lord is to let go  Do you want mercy or judgment?

Why is this so important?  Open with God  Tortured on the inside  Not living in abundance  Can become bitter and resentful  Carry them around like weights  We have a choice
