6 Challenges  The fear of the unknown.  Apprehension of the use of technology.  Motivation.  Due dates and progress.  Lack of communication.

7 Social External Factors  Unemployment.  Industry.  Lack of family support.  Financial difficulties.  Family responsibilities.  Full time employment.

8 External Threats  Power and internet outages, i.e. storms, high winds, floods, etc.  Lack of motivation.  Procrastination.  Easy to avoid the work with outside distractions.  Family or employment priorities.

9 Internal Opportunities I. Convenience of working from home. A. Multi-tasking. B. Work from the couch or bed in your lounge clothes! C. Work in the middle of the night. D. Never need an excuse to miss class! II. Entire programs online to complete a degree! A. Business B. Allied Health

10 Internal Strengths  Most people that sign up accept the self motivated responsibilities, and more important, THEY WANT IT!  Support from other peers and students that are taking the class or have taken similar courses.  Group work.  Study groups.  A social network of learning.  Preparation for a career of technology.

11 External Opportunities  Increase your salary and/or get promotions.  Increase knowledge for everyday life and work.  More time for work, play, and family life.  Become more proficient in using computer technology. External Opportunities
