11 What is IST? “Born” July 1, 2001, brings together all supply and trading functions Coordinates information exchange between streams Provides ‘one face’ to the market Integrated Supply & Markets BP’s equity production Originates third-party supply Optimizes the flows between production, refining & processing, and marketing Trading Mitigates price volatility risk Uses information from assets to dynamically hedge Develops deep relationships with third parties What IST does IST’s 2,500 employees interact with 95% of the Business Units in BP, acting as a hub for information and maximizing asset value
