3 Step 1 Secure modem on top of router

4 Plug in power cord to router Plug in power cord to modem Step 2

5 Connect telephone line from modem to wall jack Connect console cable to lower left, blue-edged console port in router Step 3

7 Connect RJ 45 cable (from the smart jack) to GE 0/0 ( top right) if smart jack is copper. Connect fiber cable to SFP port for GE 0/2 ( middle top) if smart jack is fiber. Step 5

8 Step 6 If WAN connection is copper - For connection, plug RJ45 Ethernet cable into GE 0/1 port on back of router. If two LAN connections are needed GE 0/2 can be used. (Cables not included) OR If WAN connection is fiber - For connection, plug RJ45 Ethernet cable into GE 0/1 port on back of router. If two LAN connections are needed GE 0/0 can be used. Only one LAN connection can be fiber if WAN is Fiber. Other end of cable can be plugged into server, computer, private network, LAN Switch, etc.
