3 A Brief History of VEDA: VEDA was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization on April 8th, 1985. For almost 30 years, VEDA has been a highly respected source of scientifically credible information on vestibular disorders. Through our publications and online community, VEDA has reached literally millions of vestibular patients with critical information and support. Did you know? More than 35% of US adults aged 40 years and older (69 million people) experience vestibular dysfunction at some point in their lives; many of them go on to develop a chronic vestibular disorder.

4 Offer to Patients Stay informed, with access to educational resources on our website. Stay available, with access to our extensive provider directory to help you find the right treatment. Stay connected with us on Facebook! Over 5,600 fans and counting.

5 Living with a Vestibular Disorder WE UNDERSTAND. Living with a vestibular disorder can affect a person's life in many ways. It can affect not only how you feel, but how you are able to perform day-to-day activities.. With or without a diagnosis, a dizzy person can be overwhelmed and confused. Many people need guidance about how to self-educate and how to help family members and friends understand their experience and the daily challenges they face.

6 Support Groups VEDA IS HERE TO HELP. Many people find it helpful to get together with other people with vestibular disorders to share their experiences in a safe and supportive environment. VEDA can connect you to a support group near you through our support group directory. VEDA members can also connect with others suffering from vestibular disorders through V-PALS, our members only network. By joining V-PALS you will be put in touch with a self-selected group of people looking for others to share with and learn from.
