Were we really designed to BOUNCE off oneobstacleand intothe next?

What limits us?

Walk like an Egyptian

Escape?

Escape? Delivered!

Presence

Between a Rock and a Deep Place

When Pharaoh drew near, the people of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them, and they feared greatly.

And the people of Israel cried out to the LORD. They said to Moses, "Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? What have you done to us in bringing us out of Egypt?

Is not this what we said to you in Egypt: 'Leave us alone that we may serve the Egyptians'? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness."

2 Is not this what we said to you in Egypt: 'Leave us alone that we may serve the Egyptians'? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness." 2 - number of options they see

Our Limitations Make Us COMFORTABLE

Our Limitations Make Us PRISONERS

PRISONERS Our Limitations Make Us COMFORTABLE PRISONERS To fear To fear To doubt To doubt To an ordinary life while claiming to serve an extraordinary God To an ordinary life while claiming to serve an extraordinary God

God sees freedom

God sees freedom Deliverance from Egypt Passover Salvation Slaves Plunder Visible Presence = GLORY

Where we walls, God sees roads Where we see flood, God dry land Where we are powerless, God often chooses to flex

God is… Limit less

A flood becomes a path and Dry land swallows up an entire Egyptian army

Limits can't stop the God who created them

+ = GIFT

The land is good! BUT… We are like grasshoppers to them and They are giants to us

10 Spies Convinced of the goodness of the land but unwilling to believe in the power of God

2 Spies Convinced of the God's Power and trust in God's Ability Faith reduced the giants to grasshoppers and turned the grasshoppers into Giants

Giants? POWER Giants? Or POWER? Depends on where you and what you believe about God

Which is more powerful? My problems? My God? Depends on where I

40 = number of years they wander

10 =spies who die in the wilderness 2 =spies who live to enter the Promised Land and conquer the giant grasshoppers

2 = out of the 600,000 men above 20 years old were allowed to enter and possess the land together with the young generation

Faith sees, dares and triumphs in the days of overwhelming difficulties While fear runs, trembles and fails in the days of overflowing opportunities Note: The days are the same

Fear paralyses the strongest of men While faith energizes the weakest of men Joshua and Caleb- at the age of 85- still feel and act as if they were only 40. The young men had acted as if they were without strength

Fear delayed the promises of God While faith waits patiently through the delays caused by faithless men

For forty long wasted years one by one the faithless children of Israel perished in the desert sands- in the prison of their self-made limitations

Joshua and Caleb were allowed to enter the land Because they "had a different spirit" - (Numbers 14:24)

Fear canceled the promises of God. Their faithlessness put them outside the circle of God's benefits But faith was the channel by which Joshua and Caleb received the promises and blessings of God pibs2000.com

What limits us?

Jordan River at Flood Stage

No, it'll be fine. Trust me!

Jordan River at Flood Stage No, it'll be fine. Trust me! When?

Jordan River at Flood Stage No, it'll be fine. Trust me! When? Not until you set foot in it

Limitations don't cease to be limitations until we Hear Trust Take Action

What limits us? Walls? Floods and Blocked Paths? Strong Enemies? Comfortable Prison Fear of the unknown Doubt that God can or will

What limits us? Not God Not Focus Not Faith We serve an extraordinary God Why would we settle for an ordinary life?

Pray…hard Seek God Submit to wisdom Take action in faith

I believe in a God who whispers and all nature obeys Yet I'm convinced I'm alone in this? God can't: Change her heart Meet my needs Change me and give life meaning

I know {of} God

I am God's

And I refuse to live a limited life While claiming to serve a limitless Creator
