5  There are two types of locations.  Absolute location: precise spot on earth using longitude and latitude. (Exact)  Relative location: lactation of a place with comparative landmarks. (Close)

6  Relative location: › St. Louis, Missouri is in eastern Missouri along the Mississippi River southeast of St. Charles › Dardanelle, Arkansas is located on the western side of Arkansas River, 3 miles from Russellville, Arkansas.  Absolute Location: › St. Louis is 38˚ North 90˚ West › Dardanelle is 35˚ North 93˚ West
