3  Where the story takes place.  Usually uses sensory language to convey where the story takes place.  See if you can find specifically where “Old Man at the Bridge” takes place.

4  The beginning of a story where background information is given to the reader.  Such as character names and background as well as an introduction to the setting of the story.

5  The series of conflicts and crisis that lead to the climax of the story.  What are some of the conflicts and crisis that lead to the climax?
