EMPLOYER- SUPPORTED Savings + Investments = Asset Building Hawaii County Economic Opportunity Council (HCEOC) LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance) Program : (Partnership with HELCO) low income individuals and families receive energy credits to defray costs on electricity bill Photovoltaic Installation by Greenpower Solutions (employer): conversion to solar for low-income families. (Employer utilizes trainees to do installations) Employer Customized Training Via Hawaii Community College: Numerous employers have designed customized training for its employees Various software computer programs Management and supervisory training Various “green” training Hawaii First Federal Credit Union (Resource Centers) Offers Individual Development Accounts (4 to 1 financial match) for eligible participants Entrepreneurs Expos Financial institutions, employers, Small Business Development Center support current employees and unemployed job seekers with self- employment options to enhance asset- building
