The Mountain View College Quality Enhancement Project The Charge: On the basis of a college-wide exploration, each college will select, implement, and institutionalize a project that will enhance student learning.

The Mountain View College Quality Enhancement Project The Charge: The QEP must – include broad based involvement – be tied to student learning – address a college need – be sustainable – include a plan for assessment

QEP Timeline Must be submitted 4-6 weeks in advance of onsite review MVC to submit in August 2012

QEP Calendar Selecting the topic Three Phases – Faculty and Students (Spring) – Common instrument for all MVC constituents (Spring/Summer) – Narrowed topic (Fall)

QEP Calendar Fall 2010 Finalize Topic – Receive feedback about narrowed topics – Select Topic/Project – Creation of SLOs – Literature Review – Promotional Campaign – Identify QEP Evaluator

QEP Calendar Fall 2011 Internal Assessment – Begin composing sections – Evaluator recommendations – Adjustments

QEP Calendar Spring 2012 Completing the QEP – Final QEP to be reviewed by: SACS Leadership Team Other committees based upon QEP committee and/or college recommendations (i.e. SLO Taskforce, CCAGE, etc.)
