2 Background Current set-up of working arrangement – WP EFF June 2012 Ministerial-level meeting every 18=24 months Multi-stakeholder Steering Committee of 18 members Supported by the Joint OECD-UNDP Support Team Global light/counry focused Constituency-based approach Challenges Not all constituency has a representation Resources and support Linking country to global Constituency-model not sufficiently working a model of “global light/country heavy

3 Abuja Steering Committee Decisions Decision made Rotation of Co-Chairs to be announced in Mexico Rotation of the Steering Committee members, while ensuring continuity by mid-June Expansion of the Steering Committee to 24 members to include additional members by mid June: Arab donor Additional representative from Africa Additional representative from provider-recipient country Non-traditional Civil society stakeholders, including trade union Local Government Foundations Identify regional organizations to support the Steering Committee members going forward. A small group to review ways in which to strengthen resourcing

4 Discussions Steering Committee meeting rotation - Constituency-based process Rotation of co-chairs (recipient country, recipient- provider country) Rotation of Steering Committee members Identification of support facility/platforms/mechanisms to support Steering Committee members (i.e. regional platforms/organisations, etc Systematic regional meetings as part of the overall working arrangement?
