7 GRUNDTVIG CONTACT SEMINAR 7 Participants Partners from at least 3 participating countries, teacher training institutes, universities, associations, NGOs, etc. Grant max. 300 000 €, (max. 75% co-financing of total eligible budget) Selection By the European Commission Duration up to 3 years

8 GRUNDTVIG CONTACT SEMINAR 8 Participants all actors in the field of adult education; min. 6 countries Grant max. 150 000 €/year, (max. 75% co-financing of total eligible budget) Selection By the European Commission Duration up to 3 years

9 GRUNDTVIG CONTACT SEMINAR  This is a framework for practical co- operation activities between organisations working in the field of adult learning.  The partnerships focus more on process, and aim to broaden in particular the participation of smaller organisations. GRUNDTVIG Learning Partnerships

10 GRUNDTVIG CONTACT SEMINAR  Trainers and learners work together on one or more topics of common interests.  This exchange of experiences, practices and methods contributes to: an increased awareness of the varied European cultural, social and economic scene; a better understanding of area of adult learning. GRUNDTVIG Learning Partnerships

11 GRUNDTVIG CONTACT SEMINAR Senior volunteering projects  (1) To enable senior citizens to volunteer in another European country for any kind of nonprofit activity, as a form of informal learning activity.  (2) To create lasting partnerships between the host and sending organisations around a specific topic or target group, and thanks to the exchange of volunteers.

12 GRUNDTVIG CONTACT SEMINAR Expected outputs  For the volunteers:  increase of personal, linguistic, social and intercultural skills,  contribution to the development and implementation of non- profit activities,  contribute to the community as an active citizen, and possibly the acquisition / development of specific task- related skills.  For the sending and hosting organisations:  exchange of experience, knowledge and good practices;  development of European collaboration around a particular theme (or several themes) and an intensified European outlook.

15 GRUNDTVIG CONTACT SEMINAR In-service training  In-service training activities enable people working in the field of adult learning to undertake a training course abroad.  Participants should improve their practical teaching, coaching, counselling or management skills and gain a broader understanding of adult learning in Europe.  In-service training can last from five working days to six weeks.

16 GRUNDTVIG CONTACT SEMINAR 16 Course themes: teaching techniques, methodologies, management issues, etc. Grant contributes to travel and subsistence costs and course fees Selection By National Agencies Duration 1 to 6 weeks

17 GRUNDTVIG CONTACT SEMINAR Visits and exchanges for adult education staff  Visits and exchanges actions enable present or future staff working in adult learning to undertake a work-related visit abroad.  Participants should gain a broader understanding of adult learning in Europe, improve their work-related skills and support the work of their host organisation.  The duration of the visit may vary depending on its purpose, but cannot exceed 12 weeks

18 GRUNDTVIG CONTACT SEMINAR 18 Assistantships

19 GRUNDTVIG CONTACT SEMINAR Assistantships  Present or future staff involved in adult education can spend a period of at least 12 weeks as a Grundtvig assistant at an adult education organisation in another European country.  Participants should gain a better understanding of the adult learning sector in Europe, as well as enhance their knowledge of foreign languages, other European countries and their adult education systems and improve their work-related and intercultural skills.

20 GRUNDTVIG CONTACT SEMINAR 20 Futuer teaching staff teachers gain first teaching experiences in another European country Grant contributes to travel and subsistence, linguistic preparation Selection By National Agencies Duration 3 months to max. 1 school year

21 GRUNDTVIG CONTACT SEMINAR Workshops  Workshops bring together individuals or small groups of learners (10-20 people) from several countries for their personal development and learning needs. Learners are also encouraged to share their competences and insights with others
