4. Reading  Reading Log – Students read for 30 min. every night. They can read anything. Some examples are:  Newspaper  Bible  Novel  Comic books  Books they read to their children  Online gossip magazines  Outdoor Sportsmen magazines

14. Reading  Vocabulary – Students are given vocabulary words every week and complete activities with these words.

15. One of the strategies we use for teaching vocabulary is Robert Marzano’s Building Academic Vocabulary.
