3 Hockey I know some of the basic rules of Hockey. I can pass the ball with some accuracy using the push or slap. I can receive and stop the ball when stationary. I can use basic reverse stick skills and perform a basic tackle. I have some idea of the different positions and can play one of them. I can identify some of the strengths and weaknesses in my performance. I can follow a warm-up and cool-down safely using suitable activities. I know that exercise is important for a healthy lifestyle. 3c = 2 of the criteria met– from 2 colours! 3b = 4 of the criteria met- from 3 colours! 3a = All of the criteria met, Well done move on to level 4! National Curriculum Attainment Level

4 Hockey I know the basic rules of Hockey. I can pass the ball with some accuracy in a practice situation. I can control the ball on a few occasions when not under pressure, whilst on the move. I can successfully block tackle, and dodge around a player I have a good understanding of the different positions and their roles. I can use some of the correct technique terms to improve performance. I can follow a warm-up and cool-down safely, using suitable activities by myself. I understand the importance of exercise for a healthy lifestyle. 4c = 2 of the criteria met – from 2 colours! 4b = 4 of the criteria met – from 3 colours! 4a = All of the criteria met, Well done move on to level 5! 5 Hockey I know the rules of Hockey when playing a game. I can pass the ball with accuracy to other players using more than one type of pass. I can control the ball while under some pressure. I can demonstrate some different dodges and defending skills showing accuracy and control. I have a good understanding of the different positions and their roles. I can identify strengths and weaknesses of mine and others performances, giving feedback to improve on this. I can lead a warm-up and cool-down session for a small group of people suitable for hockey. I can explain why exercise is important to my health and fitness. 5c = 2 of the criteria met- from 2 colours! 5b = 4 of the criteria met- from 3 colours! 5a = All of the criteria met, Well done move on to level 6! 6 Hockey I know the rules of Hockey and can apply them to umpire a small sided game. I can pass the ball accurately using a variety of passes. I can control the ball using open and basic reverse stick skills. I know the role of and can play in more than one position. I can give more detailed feedback to improve performance and analyse. I am able to lead a safe warm-up and cool- down, stretching the correct areas of the body for hockey. I understand how hockey can benefit a persons health and fitness. 6c = 2 of the criteria met- from 2 colours! 6b = 4 of the criteria met- from 3 colours! 6a = All of the criteria met, Well done move on to level 7! 7 Hockey I know the rules of hockey and rarely make mistakes and can apply these when umpiring a full sided game. I can pass the ball accurately while under pressure both in practice and in game situations, selecting the appropriate type of pass. I can control the ball with the other side of my body effectively. I can use a variety of difficult skills to beat a player. I regularly make clean and effective tackles. I have a good understanding of positions and can play them effectively. I know which of the major muscles to stretch for Hockey. I am responsible enough to do this for myself and others. I understand why warm up and cool down. I can describe how Hockey benefits health and fitness and can share this information with a small group. 7c = 2 of the criteria met- from 2 colours! 7b = 4 of the criteria met- from 3 colours! 7a = All of the criteria met, Well done move on to level 8!
