Reasons for Renaissance
Increased trade (Venice), Crusades and the Black Death make people become more secular = more interesed in this world than that of the afterlife Leads to the idea of Humanism = individual and human society are important as well as faith and afterlife People begin to look back to the ancient Greeks and Romans for knowledge and learning = rebirth of these ideas! Led to a search for new ideas and great achievements in art, science, literature, math, medicine + inventions
