9 BASIC PROBLEMS Small working areas, Overtime working, Insufficient OHS measures, Insufficient OHS and vocational trainings, Unregistered employment, Obstacles arising from sub-contracting, Lack of safety culture.

10 SPECIFIC PROBLEMS Lack of; Risk assessment applications, Training programs, Occupational health surveillance, Fire squads and exercises, Periodical controls for lifting equipments, Protection against electrical hazards, Protective activities for explosive atmospheres, PPE use.

11 SOLUTIONS Legislative activities, Occupational health and safety trainings for employers, OHS professionals and employees, Occupational exposure measurements, Continuous inspections on occupational health and safety, legal issues, Administrative fines, Suspending the operations of enterprises, Closure of workplaces.

12 LEGISLATIVE ACTIVITIES Work Act 2003, Article 77, Obligations of employers: –Controlling whether the OHS measures are obeyed or not at the workplace, –Informing workers about occupational risks to be faced with, measures to be taken and their legal rights and responsibilities, –Ensure that the required OHS trainings are given to workers.
