This group uses the concept of one to a part in most sections. There is an expectation of high quality work coupled with strong commitment to the advancement of the ensemble. This group meets before school during the fall and generally after school during the winter and spring. A calendar is provided at the beginning of the school year. Students receive an academic credit for this zero period class. Students will study the art of improvisation, the history/journey of jazz, and perform in a small combo for several area functions throughout the year.
10
The Panther Regiment (marching band) meets after school during the fall. There are summer commitments as well. Generally, there are 2-3 rehearsals per week. The Regiment performs at all home football games, select away games, local holiday parades and 3-5 competitions per season. There is a huge time commitment with this ensemble, however a calendar is provided in the spring of each school year. Students may opt to take this course for academic credit or for transcript credit only. There is a fee involved with this course. While this ensemble is not required, it is highly recommended to all students in the band program.

21
Students will learn the value of hard work and dedication. A commitment to excellence is more than a saying, it is truly how we function everyday. Students are encouraged to take the work habits learned through band and apply them to their other classes as well as other aspects of their lives.
