3 What Is An Electric Car? Most cars nowadays use an internal combustion engine to provide energy. The goal of an electric car is to provide energy to the car using an electronic battery (usually a lithium-ion battery) A car with a purely electronic means of propulsion would create no air pollution.

Electric cars are 97% cleaner than conventional gas powered cars. They do not produce particulate matter (particles in the air that can aggravate asthma and irritate the respiratory system)

There are absolutely zero tailpipe emissions Since there is no need for combustion or other processes in an electric car, there are much less parts to be replaced (engine hoses, fuel filters, etc. )
