Mission Statement and Charter A clear statement of EuroCRIS’ long-term mission. –NEEDED: A clear definition of CRIS CRIS (Current Research Information Systems) are the source for commercial organisations wishing to innovate and create wealth, and for academic researchers wishing to stimulate new work and ideas or cooperative actions. They are also used by scientific administrators and decision-makers. Traditionally CRIS have been based on projects, often with information used by the funding body. More recently, the requirements outlined above have led to the need also for information on organisations and people, and on results (patents, products, publications). Leadership Chairperson –Sets strategy, offers guidance, inspires motivation, engages in PR, represents EuroCRIS at appropriate meetings Secretary –Oversees membership issues, maintains documents, tracks actions, maintains website Treasurer Active committee role
