2. Welcome to Redeemer! The word “advent” means “coming” and this season helps us prepare to celebrate Christ’s first coming and welcome his second. We know we will celebrate the first coming on December 25th. We have no idea when we will celebrate his second coming.

3. Welcome to Redeemer! It could be ten-thousand years away or it could be in the next ten minutes. God kept his promise to send Christ the first time and we are confident he will keep the promise to send Christ again. Because we do not know when that will be, we must always be prepared.
