Write and expression using “g” for the number of goals I scored. How many goals did I score? 8g + 50 = $178 g = 16 So I scored 16 goals

12. A little girl down the street hit me a bunch of times. How many times did she hit me? Well the product of that number and 12 is increased by four and decreased by twenty for a result of twenty. How many times did she hit me? 12x + 4 – 20 = 20 X = 3

13. I earned five dollars for each hour I worked washing Mr. Segerson’s laundry. Use “H” for the hours. Write an expression and then solve it – if I earned $35.00. 5H = $35 H = 7 So I worked seven hours.
