Multiple Correct Multiple Choice Question – Partial Credit With this question type, the student can receive partial credit for each correct answer they choose. With scoring penalties for choosing incorrect answers.

| Question Types in PerformancePLUS Short Answer – (aka – fill in the blank) With this question type a student is required to enter a short response. Typically it would be a number or a word, or short phrase. The system allows for unlimited characters for the students response. The system will automatically score these question types, because it knows the ‘correct answer’. A ‘symbol’ button is available which allows special characters to be entered (example: square root symbol, exponents, fractions etc..)
11
| Question types in PerformancePLUS Open Ended/Constructed Responses With this question type a student is required to enter an extended response. Teachers have the ability to review the responses online and can score them. A ‘symbol’ button is available which allows special characters to be entered (example: square root symbol, exponents, fractions etc..)
12
| Special Characters beyond the keyboard in PerformancePLUS There is a ‘symbol’ button next to each of the short-response/open-ended questions. When the student clicks that button, a pop-over panel is displayed where the student would be able to select one or more special characters/symbols.
