2 Box Pattern Add in your own pictures that illustrate parts of the book. Print. Cut out. Fold and glue to make a box.

5 1.Open Microsoft Word and type your short story or report. 2.Click Enter several times at the bottom of your story. Save. 3.Now, use the column tool and divide the page into four columns. 4.Go to Format >Borders and Shading. Select Box. OK. 5.Print your story. Cut the story strips apart. Glue them together. Fold them back and forth like a fan, words out. Set aside. 6.Add graphics to the box shape in Slide 2 or 3. You can insert a text box or use Word Art too. Insert>Object>Bitmap to draw your own picture. 7.Print the slide. Cut around the outside of the box shape and on the dotted lines. Fold on the inner lines to make a box. Glue the bottom of the story in the bottom of the box. 8.Ta da! Book in a box!

6 1.To draw your own picture, go to Insert>Object>Bitmap Image. OK. 2.Use the pencil tool to draw and the paint bucket to fill in with color. 3.Leave background white. 4.In some versions of PowerPoint, there is no eraser, so you’ll have to start over if you make a mistake. 5.When you’re finished, click outside the box to place it on your PowerPoint slide. 6.Drag your picture wherever you want it using the Move Tool. 7.Resize using the corner handles.
