2  Compare and contrast the diversity of chilcare settings in 8 european countries  Be able to identify, analyse and justify examples of good practices to reduce the inequalities in toddler’s education  Developing competences in being a reflective practicioner MAIN GOALS

3 1. Before « Toddler’s Intensive program » Each student has to collect 15-20 pictures illustrating welcome organizations for toddlers and their dominant pedagogical choices in their country (good or this needs improvements of educational practices) They select pictures practices that are intended to reduce or increase inequality (social and pedagogical)

4 2. Presentation and analysis of pictures (1h30) To introduce the module, each student presents himself and his pictures : Presentation of the different welcoming/host structure Illustration of educational practices considered good or less good After each presentation, students ask clarifying questions  Teacher plays the role of facilitator : Questions to justify the practice analysis Questions to stimulate discussion

5 3. Photolanguage (1h30) WP2 pictures are printed on paper and plastified Teacher asks students to classify pictures  Guideline question : What are the educational practices that reduce inequality ? What are the educational practices that increase inequality ? Why ? After grading, the teacher initiates argumentative discussion

6 6. Reflexive session (1h) As a synthesis module, teacher leads a reflexive session with students about educational practices likely to reduce social and pedagogical inequalities in childcare organizations for toddler
