Warm-Up for April 14, 2015 Thesis Statement Workshop Take out your thesis statement and find a partner. With your partner, read your thesis statement. Together, answer these questions: 1. Can someone disagree with my thesis statement? (If no, revise.) 2. Does the thesis statement include the author and play title? (If no, revise.) 3. What sub-claims fit underneath your umbrella thesis? Write these down. If you do not have a thesis statement, write one now.

Essay Outline For your in class essay tomorrow on Wednesday, you may use your books, Records Journal, and essay outlines. During class today, complete your essay outline to plan your argument and your essay. Write your thesis statement in the introduction area and then skip to your body paragraphs and find evidence. Whatever you do not finish today is homework.
