2 PEAK FOR THE WEEK COMMENCING 4 th September 2011 (WEEK 36) Year on Year PUT’s increased 3% for AP 5+ and less than 1% for AP 25-54. AP 18-39 saw a 7% decline and AP 18-49 saw a 3% decline. It should be noted that Week 36 in 2010 was the days following the Christchurch Earthquake. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights all experienced PUT growth with Friday recording the highest lift of 21%. Source: Nielsen TAM. 3 TV ONE HIGHLIGHTS AP 25-54 The RWC impacted TV ONE delivering fantastic results this week with audiences up 17% and share up 26% (to 26.8% - the highest share recorded since week 5). Year on year, audiences increased by 19% and share by 18%. Friday night saw the highest weekly lift of 343% and yearly lift of 299% as viewers tuned to TV ONE to watch the Rugby World Cup. Year to date, TV ONE’s average audiences are up year on year sitting at 9.2, compared to 8.8 in 2010. Three shows were in the top 10 programmes this week. 4 TV2 HIGHLIGHTS AP 18-39 TV2 saw a decrease in audience on a weekly and yearly perspective, down 8% (to 8.7). Year on year, share fell a marginal 2% and down 10% on a weekly comparison to 25.0%. Monday night saw a 49% audience lift yearly and 15% weekly lift with improved ratings from Shortland St, My Kitchen Rule and The Mentalist. Year to date, TV2’s average audiences are sitting at 9.6 compared to 10.3 last year Seven of the top 10 programmes were on TV2 this week.
