8. Brief information There are 108,000 persons with disabilities in Mongolia: 30% has congenital disability 15% has severe disability

11. Labor and employment Even though, legal environment permits PWDs employment: Lack of accessible environment Lack of employer’s enthusiasm to build accessible work place Lack of skilled PWDs

12. Economic discrimination: The monthly government pension for PWDs is USD100 that is not enough for daily life which awakes:  dependency to family members  Maltreatment  Violence (human rights as stated in the UN Convention on the Rights of PWDs, sexual)

14. Social discrimination  Lack of accessible environment to participate in the social life (crossing cut, public transport, buildings, toilet rooms)  Negative social attitude that hesitates to help PWDs

15. There is no “personal assistance system” in Mongolia which helps to PWDs to work, to educate and to receive medical service. Therefore, PWDs are dependent, non-educated, has no income and cannot fulfill their rights as stated in the UN Convention on the Rights of PWDs
