9. GEDIMINAS’ CASTLE Gediminas’ castle stands on the Gediminas’ mountain. Near the mountain there ara two rivers Neris and Vilnia. There are lots of trees around the castle.

10. The Legend of Gediminas’ Castle One night the duke Gediminas dreamed an iron wolf. The wolf was on a mountain. It roared like a hundred wolfs. When Gediminas woke up, he went to the wizard - Lizdeika. Gediminas told about his dream. When Lizdeika heard the dream, he said: ‘The big and famous city will be built on the mountain where the wolf stood.’ Gediminas built the castle and the city, which are big and famous. This city is Vilnius.

11. THE CASTLE OF TRAKAI THE CASTLE OF TRAKAI The castle is in the island of Galv ė ’s lake. You can reach it on foot or by boat.

12. Some Facts about Trakai Castle The duke Vytautas died in the castle on 27 th October 1430. Later, the castle was used like a jail. The famous Lithuania’s poet Maironis created a poem about Trakai Castle.
