Inspections and Forms Safety Inspection -Evaluates the effectiveness of the organisations Health and Safety System. Workplace inspections- These are regular inspections of the workplace by managers, supervisors and safety committee members. OH&S Compliance Policy Distribution of OH&S Policies and Talking about them. Hiring and performance Reviews for all employees with OH&S competencies. Relationship Management and OH&S Competencies are a part of hiring and reviews for all Managers. Training in how to solve OH&S disagreements informally and formally. OH&S Consultation policy3 Bee inspired will consult with employees by; Sharing information with employees Giving the employees a reasonable opportunity to express their views about any matter in relation to OHS issues. And taking into account those views. The OHS representative must be included in the consultation by: Providing the health and safety representative with all of the information about the matter that the Bee Inspired provides, or intends to provide, to the employees Unless it is not reasonably practicable to do so, providing that information to the health and safety representative a reasonable time before providing the information to the employees Inviting the health and safety representative to meet with the employer to consult about the matter Meeting with the health and safety representative to consult about the matter. 19/09/2015 Bee Inspired Web Designers Team-Bega Tafe 20127

People and Roles Policy OHS Responsibilities Include: Ensuring their first aid qualifications and training are current; Checking and ensuring first aid kits and equipment are appropriately stocked after use; Ensuring administered first aid treatment is recorded via University procedures; Assisting in emergency coordination; Assisting in and promoting the University procedures in relation to reporting and recording incidents; OHS Authority: These positions have the authority to give first aid treatment within their skills and competency and arrange for further treatment if required. OH&S,MSD’S,Injury Reports The most recurring hazard in a IT workplace is a tripping hazard with 4 out of 10 accidents are caused by tripping/falling alone. Employees usually slip on electrical cords from a PC or another piece if equipment. Reports The Incident/Hazard report needs to sent to the manager within 24 hours. The report has 3 sections: -Section A: This Section is completed by the Person making the report and gives details of the Incident/Hazard -Section B: This Section is completed by the Person making report and describes the Injuries or Bodily locations from accident -Section C: This Section is completed by the Manager and is a follow up Investigation & Control of situation A MSDS - Material Safety Data Sheet - contains more detailed information about health and safety aspects of hazardous substances than the label does. It describes: -Properties and uses of a substance -Health hazard information -Precautions for use -Safe handeling requirements Substances that have MSDS's can be -Mixtures (Combination of Substances) -Natural or Artificial -A gas, Vapour, Fume or Mist -Dusts used in the Workplace 19/09/2015 Bee Inspired Web Designers Team-Bega Tafe 20129
