Why our traditional traffic handling methods fail for today’s served agencies! Agencies want EMAIL backup! It’s 2007! –Need procedures, lists and diagrams delivered –E-mail with complex attachments is the defacto format –Hand-written message forms are rarely used Post 9/11: Agencies insist on NIMS, ICS and NRP compliance. Voice, Morse code, and even traditional packet radio won’t do… –way too slow, translation required –too inflexible –too prone to error –doesn’t go user-to-user.
